Rochester 7-1 Losers to Hydropathists

Oswego beat Rochester in a rain-soaked ballgame.
The Rochester Lilac Stockings had their hands full with Oswego Hydropathists starter Rodrigo Raya, who frustrated Rochester hitters while leading Oswego to a comfortable, 7-1 win. The win went to Felipe Guerrero in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Cristóbal García took the loss.
Faustino Rodríguez chipped in for Oswego, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1 for 1.
"Rodrigo's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Oswego manager Efraín Montánez.
The 4th-place Hydropathists lifted their record to 28-34.
