Erie beat Meadville at Erie Naval Yards, eking out a 6-5 win. The win was due in large part to first baseman Sófocles Díaz. He went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Erie grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Díaz hit a 2-run home run off Marcelino Jaques. His 15th home run of the season put the Commodores out in front, 6-4.
