Saginaw and Alpena got after it at Old Growth Forest.

The Saginaw Joes picked up a win at Old Growth Forest, knocking off the Alpena Partridges, 6-3. On the mound for Saginaw was left-hander Pedro Olave. He played a key role in the triumph. The triumph puts Saginaw at 38-26 for the season.

Saginaw got a big at-bat from Bishopbriggs, Scotland native Keith McIntyre, who in the bottom of the first hit a 2-run double. It was his 16th double of the season and put the Joes ahead, 4-1.

Olave told the Saginaw Chronicle: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
