Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Superior Whalebacks and Grand Marais Voyageurs.

The Superior Whalebacks got a stellar effort from pitcher Euríalo Rodríguez, helping Superior score a win over the visiting Grand Marais Voyageurs, 5-2. The win puts Superior at 25-41.

Superior took a 4-1 lead on Rolando Santiago's 6th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Santiago hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Grand Marais pitcher Leonardo Bonilla visibly frustrated.

"I know we have our doubters," said Grand Marais manager Sean Webster. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
