Ciriaco Méndez was locked in. The right-hander led the Oswego Hydropathists to a 7-3 win against the Syracuse Halites at Salt City Park. The win puts the Hydropathists at 35-27, while the Halites drop to 37-29.

Oswego used the stroke of Danny Williams to get the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Hydropathists ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Méndez told the Oswego Observer.
