Pérez hits 2 home runs to Fuel Zips Offense
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Meadville Zips and Mentor Rose Stockings.

The Meadville Zips knocked off the Mentor Rose Stockings, 9-2, at The Rosebush. Alfredo Pérez was a big reason Meadville won. The third baseman hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Marcelino Jaques, who went 6.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 9 hits, while walking 6 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 7-6.

In the top of the third, Pérez had a grand slam home run for Meadville. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Zips on top, 5-1.

Pérez attributed the triumph to "a good team effort."

The 'W' lifts Meadville's record to 39-28.
