Parque de Camaguey was host to some intense drama.

The Camaguey Tinajones earned a close win over the Holguin Pericos, thanks in part to Jorge Alarcón. The Camaguey right-hander played a key role in the 3-2 victory. Camaguey reliever Hernán Cruz picked up the win to move to 17-17. Gonzalo García suffered the loss.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Camaguey pinch hitter Mercuriano Pedroza, facing Gonzalo García, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Tinajones the 3-2 win.

"The crowd was boisterous today," said Pedroza.

The Tinajones improved their record to 54-55 by beating Holguin.
