In a well-pitched game between the Pinar del Rio Guajiros and the Santa Clara Leopardos, pitcher Gedeón Rubio was superb. The Pinar del Rio right-hander helped his team win, 3-1. Pinar del Rio bumps their record to 61-65 with the win.
Rubio earned the win, going 7.2 strong innings for Pinar del Rio. The right-hander allowed just 2 hits, while striking out 9. Santa Clara hitters had little success against him.
