The rain came, as predicted, but the Mayabeque Alacranes and Habana Leones were able to complete their ballgame.
The Mayabeque Alacranes beat the Habana Leones, 4-3. Mayabeque pitcher and Canóvanas, Puerto Rico, native Diego Arocho led the way. Mayabeque is now 62-59, while Habana is 62-55.
Had Felipe Banderas not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Banderas hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Alacranes.
"We found a way to get it done," Banderas said.
