The Valencia Industriales picked up a win at Campo de Barinas, taking down the Barinas Viajeros, 7-5. Starting pitcher Juan Sánchez was a big reason why. Eugenio Núñez earned the save for Valencia, his 1st. Barinas is 5-4 after the defeat.
Anastasio Valencia was 2-4 with 2 singles for Valencia. The 28-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Matthew Bunge. It was his 2nd RBI of the season.
"They had a good approach," Barinas skipper Samuel Morales said of the opposition. "Hats off to them."
