Bay City Triumphs with Late Surge
The Bay City Sugar Beets took Pedro Olave's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Old Growth Forest. The final score had Bay City getting past the Joes, 4-3, in 11 innings. Olave over 10 innings allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 7. The triumph puts Bay City at 38-30 for the season.

Bay City needed the clutch hitting of Rutilio Mancha to seal the deal. The designated hitter swatted a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Sugar Beets on top, 4-3. For the game, Mancha had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
