Chicken Chuckers Lose, 5-4, in 10
The Sarnia Roughnecks licked the St Catharines Chicken Chuckers, 5-4, in 10 innings. Scott Yarn deserved much of the credit. The first baseman went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Roughnecks. Earl Eby claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3 innings. His record stands at 2-0. Sarnia, now 33-32, holds down third place in the Eastern Great Lakes Association Canadian Independent Baseball.

The Roughnecks got a clutch hit from second baseman Hoyt Arbuckle. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Roughnecks.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Yarn.
