The Juncos Chiringas manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Vieques Zumbadorcitos. The Chiringas were overpowered by Vieques starter Juan Sánchez, who hurled his club to victory, 5-0.

"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Esteban López said.

Over 9 innings, Sánchez blanked Juncos on 3 hits with 5 walks and 5 strikeouts.

"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Sánchez said.

"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."

To date this season, Sánchez sports a 2-3 mark with a 2.14 ERA in 5 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .231 batting average and has 26 strikeouts in 42 innings.
