Auburn Makes Lewiston 6-3 Losers
The Auburn Cordwainers topped the Lewiston Quebeckers, 6-3, in Northern New England Association action at Stade de Lewiston. The standout performance belonged to Auburn pitcher and The United States, native Jack Doscher. Doscher picked up the win for Auburn, going 8.1 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Earning his 1st save for Auburn was Armando Galindo.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Enrique de León? The 26-year old right fielder de León stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put Auburn up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"Jack was throwing strikes, locating well," said Auburn manager Isabelino Vidales.
