The Lewiston Quebeckers beat the Bangor River Hogs, 9-0, at Stade de Lewiston. The Quebeckers got a fine performance from shortstop Premislao Galindo, who went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Eddie Quick earned the win for Lewiston. He lasted 5.2 innings, allowing no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 1. With the win, he raised his record to 5-2. The win makes Lewiston 20-20.
Galindo had a big hit for Lewiston with two out in the bottom of the eighth. With Lewiston leading 3-0, Galindo hit a bases-clearing double. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Quebeckers up, 6-0.
Said losing manager Aaron Clapp: "We did everything to set the stage for them to beat us."
