Cordwainers Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Quebeckers, 11-9
Runs were plentiful at Cordwainers Stadium.

Behind a solid performance from right fielder Enrique de León, the Auburn Cordwainers defeated the Lewiston Quebeckers, 11-9. de León was 2-3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 3 times for the Cordwainers. The winner was Auburn reliever Armando Galindo, now 1-1. The loser was Pedro González.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Mario Siller came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Lewiston pitcher Pedro González, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Auburn on top, 11-9.

"This game had a little bit of everything," said de León.

With the win, Auburn has a record of 15-27. Lewiston falls to 21-21.
