The Manchester Gamblers picked up a win at The Potato Patch, knocking off the Derry Spuds, 6-2. Starting pitcher Noah Appleyard played a key role in the triumph. The Gamblers raised their record to 25-25.

Manchester took a 6-2 lead on Hernando Matías's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Matías hit in the top of the eighth, left Derry pitcher Almandeto Castro visibly frustrated.

"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Appleyard after the game.
