The Bangor River Hogs overcame a pretty good performance by Auburn first baseman Rafael Núñez, beating the Cordwainers, 7-6, at River Hogs Park. Núñez went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3. Serafín García, the winning pitcher, is now 10-3. He went 9 innings, allowing 6 runs on 10 hits, while fanning 13 and walking 3. Bangor bumps their record to 35-22 with the win.

The game came to a climactic end in the bottom of the ninth. With Bangor trailing 6-5, Mauro Rivera delivered the big blow, hitting a fastball from José Muñoz for a 2-run home run. Just like that, the River Hogs had a walk-off win.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Rivera, "one at-bat at a time."
