Ramírez Fires Shutout in Spuds Victory
Fans at The Patch witnessed the Derry Spuds blank the Concord Stagecoaches, 5-0, on the strength of a superb effort from starter Bernardo Ramírez. The Derry right-hander allowed 5 hits in recording the shutout.

"Bernardo was good today, but I don't want to focus too much on a single game," Derry manager John Fox said. "If you're capable of playing at this level, you're capable of having a good game. The real question is if you can learn from that game and repeat it."

On the season, Ramírez has a 11-5 record with a 3.17 ERA.
