The Griswold Vampires defeated the Stamford Locksmiths, 7-6, at Playground of the Night's Children. Griswold left fielder Andrés Maldonado had a superb performance. He went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs. Griswold is now 37-25, Stamford 31-31.

Ciriaco Álvarez aided the Griswold cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the pinch hitter went 1 for 1 with a double.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Álvarez.
