River Hogs Pick Up 5-4 Win Against Lewiston
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Bangor River Hogs eventually prevailed.
Serafín García, who is tied for 10th in the NNEA in complete games with 9, was locked in. The right-hander led the Bangor River Hogs to a 5-4 win against the Lewiston Quebeckers at The Log Flume. In 6 innings, García surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs.
Gerardo Cáceres, the Bangor third baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 4-2, River Hogs. For the game, Cáceres went 1-4.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Lewiston manager John Fox said, following the tough loss.
With the victory, the River Hogs record stands at 30-33.
