The Griswold Vampires picked up a win at Playground of the Night's Children, dropping the Stamford Locksmiths, 5-4. Juan Pérez, who leads the SNEA in complete games with 14, was the difference-maker. The first-place Vampires sport a record of 38-32.

With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Francis March had a game-changing hit. The Vampires first baseman slammed a run-scoring single off Luis Melgar, making the score 3-1, Griswold.

"When you win, you always have confidence," said Griswold skipper Eufemio Ahumada. "Nobody likes to lose. Losing is a downer. That's how we look at it. It's always good to win."
