Drawbridges Pick Up 6-2 Win
The Mystic Drawbridges topped the Stamford Locksmiths, 6-2, in Southern New England Association action at Ballpark By The Water. The game was highlighted by the performance of Mystic pitcher Juan Barreto. Barreto got the win, improving to 6-10. He gave up 2 hits and walked 6 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Picking up the save was 37-year old right-handed pitcher Gumersindo Rodríguez.

In the bottom of the 6th, pinch hitter Edén Cayetano gave Mystic the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Drawbridges had been trailing 2-1, but the two-out single off Stamford pitcher Evan O'Leary changed that -- and Mystic went on to win.

"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Barreto.

Mystic raised its record to 39-39 with the win.
