Conditions were not ideal but Falmouth and Templeton were able to put their game in the books.
Falmouth pitcher Aidan Thomson had a large part in his team subduing the Templeton Red Onions, 1-0. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. The win went to Cristóbal Pérez in relief. His record improves to 2-3. Cresencio Zapata took the loss.
Telmo Rodríguez, who is tied for 4th in the SNEA in triples with 3, had a direct impact on the outcome. Rodríguez contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Falmouth up, 1-0.
"Aidan is good at sticking to his strengths," said Falmouth manager Charlie Bastian.
The second-place Red Onions now sit at 40-40.
