José Ocampo pitched a good game, but his team, the Waterville Elms, still succumbed, 2-1, to the Lewiston Quebeckers in 12 innings. Lewiston now sports a record of 44-37.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 12th, 18-year old catcher Heliodoro González had a chance to be the hero. Waterville pitcher José Ocampo wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, González hit a sacrifice fly. The Quebeckers had themselves a thrilling win.

"I like our mindset right now," said Lewiston manager Arquímedes Santiago.
