Layabouts Take Nail-Biter Over Horizons
The Lubbock Layabouts defeated the Amarillo Horizons, 6-4, in 12 innings in Western Association action at Lubbock Grounds. Lubbock pitcher Séptimo Salazar had a standout performance. The Horizons fall to 4-6 and continue their wobbly start to the 1915 season.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the 12th for Lubbock. That's when 24-year old first baseman Noé García hit a 2-run home run off Fructuoso Olivares to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"Séptimo looked like he had more finish on his ball," said Lubbock manager J.R. Moore.
