Falmouth pitcher Abdías Cervantes had a large part in his team beating the Templeton Red Onions, 5-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The win makes Falmouth 42-48.

Hansel Malagón dealt the Red Onions a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Falmouth leading 1-0, Malagón, who is tied for 10th in the SNEA with a .409 on-base percentage, hit a 2-2 circle change for a run-scoring single.

"I was trying to do what I do, go out there and compete," said Cervantes.
