Innsmouth Park played host to some dramatic action.

Newburyport turned a good effort from starter Eduardo Sandoval into a win over the Winchendon Rocking Horses at Innsmouth Park. The Deep Ones won the game, 3-2. The winning pitcher was Sandoval, now 7-9. He tossed 9 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 8.

The clutch hit was provided by Simón Villanueva. He delivered a walk-off run-scoring single off Elton Porter in the bottom of the ninth.

"This place was rockin'," said Villanueva.

The Deep Ones now have a mark of 39-51.
