Carabajal Shuts Out Bangor, 2-0
Bolívar Carabajal led the Waterville Elms to a shutout victory, 2-0, over the Bangor River Hogs at The Log Flume.

"My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus," Carabajal recalled later. "He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location."

Carabajal yielded 8 hits and had 4 strikeouts and 1 walk in the standout performance.

"I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," Bangor manager Dagoberto Villagraña said. "And that's just about the whole secret to pitching."

On the season, Carabajal has a 10-12 record with a 2.86 ERA.
