Portsider Helps Auburn to 3-0 Win
|
The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.
The Auburn Cordwainers downed the Bangor River Hogs, 3-0, at Cordwainers Stadium. Starring for Auburn was pitcher Andrónico Cantú. With this game in the books, Auburn is 28-67, Bangor 56-39.
In his 106-pitch effort, Cantú allowed no runs on 3 hits over 8.2 innings. He walked 3 and struck out 8.
"Andrónico was in attack mode the whole game," said Auburn manager Isabelino Vidales.
