Steinfeldt Helps Reds Defeat Spiders, 8-7
Behind the hitting of Harry Steinfeldt, the Cincinnati Reds stopped the Cleveland Spiders, 8-7. Steinfeldt went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Reds. Cincinnati reliever James Durham picked up the win to move to 4-3. Alan Steele suffered the loss. Sammy Rissanen closed it out for his 1st save.

The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Steinfeldt delivered big-time for Cincinnati, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Alan Steele. The game-changing hit put the Reds on top, 8-6.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Reds manager Marshall Locke. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."

So far in 1915, Cincinnati is 34-24.
