The New Haven Regicides beat the Mystic Drawbridges, 6-3. New Haven pitcher and Mansfield, Ohio, native Herb Goodall led the way. Goodall, now 8-14, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing 3 runs.

Osvaldo Pérez went 1-4 against the Drawbridges. With the game tied in the top of the seventh inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put New Haven in front, 3-2.

"I'll be honest," said Goodall. "I didn't have much left in the tank."

At 39-59, the Regicides find themselves in last place in the Southern New England Association Connecticut Circuit.
