Falmouth Blanks Templeton Behind Cruz
Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Templeton Red Onions as starter Crispín Cruz shut them out, 6-0, at The House of Sorrow. The Falmouth pitcher struck out 4 and walked 2 while allowing 4 hits.

"Cruz was good but he wasn't flawless," Templeton manager Wenceslao Marroquín said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Falmouth, but this is on us."

Cruz has fashioned a 16-6 mark for the season, 2.99 ERA and thrown 222.2 innings in 26 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .243 against him.
