Stamford Locksmiths starter John Mickey pitched well against the Griswold Vampires at Vampires Field, leading his team to a win, 8-3. Stamford is now 55-57, while Griswold is 66-46.

Stamford used the bat of Prudencio Benavides to get the win. The right fielder hit a fastball from José Borges out of the park for a grand slam home run. The blast came in the top of the fourth inning and put the Locksmiths on top, 6-0. It was Benavides's lone hit, but it left a mark.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Mickey. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
