The Pod Pad was the site of a competitive game between the Newport Pilot Whales and Cranston Madonnas.

The Cranston Madonnas did just enough to secure a victory over the Newport Pilot Whales, 4-3, in 10 innings at The Pod Pad. Nobody did more than pitcher Armando Castillo. The Madonnas now own a record of 65-53.

Castillo went the distance -- and then some -- for the Madonnas, throwing 10 innings of 4-hit ball against the Pilot Whales, striking out 4.

"Our guys refused to lose," said Castillo.
