The Rutland Quarrymen picked up a win at Harmonious Grounds, knocking off the Brattleboro Melodeons, 6-2. On the mound for Rutland was right-hander Cicerón Sepeda. He played a key role in the triumph. The loss makes Brattleboro 74-55.

Rutland used the hitting of Vidal Morales to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Quarrymen on top, 4-1. For the game, Morales had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Morales told a Rutland Citizen reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
