The bat of Ismael Garcés helped the Morovis Excepciones top the Caguas Ruidosos, 9-3. Garcés went 2 for 3 with a triple and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for Morovis. Elías Segovia earned the win. Santiago Parra, who is tied for 9th in the LJP in wins with 4, took the loss for Caguas. The win for the Excepciones lifted their record to 14-9.

With Morovis leading 4-1 in the top of the sixth, Garcés hit a fastball from Santiago Parra for a bases-clearing triple. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Excepciones ahead, 7-1.

"Things kind of got away from us," said Caguas skipper Eliseo Apodaca.
