Win Streak Now at 6 for Excepciones

The Morovis Excepciones extended their winning streak.
The Morovis Excepciones withstood an impressive performance by Barranquitas third baseman Raúl Martínez to defeat the Insignes, 5-2, at Parquecito de Barranquitas. Martínez went 4-4 with 4 singles. Elías Segovia earned the win for Morovis. He lasted 7.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 4-3. Getting the save was Freddie Adams, his 2nd.
Morovis took advantage of an error in the top of the sixth inning. The game was tied, 1-1, when Danilo Mercado hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Excepciones in front, 2-1.
"I like our mindset right now," said Morovis manager Lee Perfect.
The setback makes Barranquitas 14-13.
