Though he had a terrific game, Akira Uchiyama could not prevent his team, the Hatillo Tritones, from absorbing a loss. Aguada won the game, 5-3. Uchiyama was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. Benedicto Feria picked up the win, lifting his record to 2-3 on the season. He struck out 2 and walked 1 in 7.2 innings, while yielding 3 runs. Rafael Gómez nailed down the save.
Rick Hatt came through with a big-time hit for Aguada. The pinch hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 5-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Winning never gets dull," said Hatt.
Aguada sits in last place in the Liga Mariana Bracetti División Manuel Corchado y Juarbe at 10-18.
