Aparicio Helps Dulzones Defeat Lirios, 14-7
Thanks in large part to center fielder Periandro Aparicio, the Vega Baja Dulzones beat the Vega Alta Lirios, 14-7. Aparicio went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Cristóbal Valencia, who is tied for 6th in the LMB with a 10.6 K/9 rate, picked up the win in relief. Gabino Algarín took the loss for Vega Alta. The Dulzones now have a record of 15-16 with the win over Vega Alta.

Aparicio had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Dulzones went on to win.

"We came out aggressive," said Dulzones manager Eliezer Pérez. "We came out swinging the bats."
