The Vega Alta Lirios scored a tight, 4-3 win versus the Guaynabo Cazadores at Parquecito de Vega Alta. Vega Alta pitcher Balbino Fernández held his own in the contest. At 26-8, the Lirios find themselves in first place in the Liga Mariana Bracetti División Arturo Schomburg.

The clutch hit was provided by Dineen Boyle. He delivered a walk-off run-scoring single off Bernard Hoff in the bottom of the tenth.

"That was a backyard tug-of-war," said Lirios manager Alarico Mendoza.
