Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Comecocos beat the Pleneros.

Raúl Toledo had a strong outing for the Luquillo Comecocos against the Loiza Pleneros at Parquecito de Luquillo. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Toledo, now 5-1, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 10 hits, while striking out 11, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs.

In the bottom of the ninth, with no one out and the game tied, 3-3, 22-year old shortstop Víctor Zúñiga won it for Luquillo. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Zúñiga hit a 1-0 fastball from Crisóstomo Meléndez for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 4-3 win.

"Raúl was cooking with gas," said Luquillo manager George Heubel.

With the win, Luquillo pushed its record to 16-16.
