Guaynabo Slaps 4-0 Loss on Arecibo
|
Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Cazadores beat the Cachorros.
Fionnbár Mackenzie brought his A-game to help Guaynabo defeat the Arecibo Cachorros, 4-0. The winning pitcher was Mackenzie, now 3-5. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 6. Bernard Hoff closed it out for his 4th save.
The Cazadores got a big at-bat from right fielder Erasmo Sifuentes. For the game, Sifuentes was 1-5 with a double. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 10th double of the season gave Guaynabo a 1-0 lead.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Sifuentes, "one at-bat at a time."
The win puts the Cazadores at 15-20, while the Cachorros drop to 9-24.
