Guayama Aprendices starter Baltasar Valles was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Las Piedras Peritos, 7-2. With this game in the books, Guayama is 16-20, Las Piedras 23-15.

Silvio Armas took Las Piedras hurler Eufemio Pérez deep in the bottom of the eighth. His grand slam home run put the Aprendices on top, 5-2. In all, Armas had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
