Barranquitas beat Cidra in a rain-soaked ballgame.

Barranquitas Insignes starter Takahashi Kajiwara took the mound against the Cidra Sabaneros at Parquecito de Cidra; and, when all was said and done, the right-hander led his team to an extra-inning, 8-7 win. The Insignes are now 18-19.

The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Alberto Carrales came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Cidra pitcher Cristóbal Murillo, he hit a 2-1 slider for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Barranquitas on top, 8-7.

"In this profession, you've got to put the good and the bad behind you quickly," Cidra skipper Tomás Guzmán said.
