Chávez Leads Arrecostaos to 5-1 Win over Pleneros
The Trujillo Alto Arrecostaos beat the Loiza Pleneros, 5-1. Trujillo Alto starter Abejundio Chávez pitched a gem. The losses continue to pile up for Loiza, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.

The standout performance belonged to 16-year-old Chávez. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Arrecostaos. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Pleneros, striking out 4 and scattering 5 hits over 9 innings. Chávez is now 2-5 on the season.

"If it can go wrong, it will go wrong," said Belerofonte Bernal, the Loiza manager.
