The Vieques Zumbadorcitos beat the Loiza Pleneros, 6-5, in 10 innings at La Cenadora. Julio Ramírez, in particular, was impressive. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles. He scored 3 runs. Loiza is in the throes of a losing streak which has reached 12 games.

The decisive blow was delivered by Eduardo Vásquez in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 20-year old right-handed pitcher Balbino Menjívar to win the game for Vieques. The home crowd went nuts.
