The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.

The Corozal Maduritos defeated the Caguas Ruidosos, 11-5, at Parquecito de Corozal. Corozal catcher Jesús Murillo had a superb performance. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times. Corozal pitcher Cástico González got the win, upping his record to 3-5. Ricardo Puello got the loss.

Tarasio Ruiz hit a run-scoring double off Ricardo Puello in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Maduritos in front, 5-4. In addition to the double, Ruiz had 2 singles, while going 3 for 5.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Al Atkinson said.

The defeat makes Caguas 26-16.
