The Juncos Chiringas picked up a win at Parquecito de Gurabo, taking down the Gurabo Escaleras, 6-1. Starting pitcher Alberto García was a big reason why. Juncos is 19-23 and Gurabo, with the loss, 20-24.

The Chiringas liked what they saw from García. The 19-year- old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Escaleras to 1 run on 5 hits over 9 innings, and striking out 7.

"Really good pitchers have that ability to raise their game when they need to," said Juncos manager Esteban López.
