At Parquecito de Guayama, the Guayama Aprendices and Salinas Olimpicos were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The inspired effort of Guayama second baseman Robert George was not enough to prevent a loss, 5-3, to the Salinas Olimpicos. George went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Ludovico Piloto earned the save for Salinas, his 6th of the year.
The Olimpicos got a big at-bat from shortstop Lucas Jose. For the game, Jose went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. In the top of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Salinas a 2-0 lead.
Salinas manager Séptimo Aparicio said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
At 22-24, the Olimpicos claim 10th place in the Liga José Padilla División Carmen Bozello y Guzmán.
