Cachorros Take Down Hoplitas, 4-3

The Arecibo Cachorros had to overcome a fine effort from Manati pitcher Antonio Estrada to win, 4-3, at Parquecito de Manatí. Estrada went 9 innings and allowed 2 runs. Gabriel Hernández recorded his 1st save for Arecibo. The Cachorros sit in second place in the Liga Mariana Bracetti División Arturo Schomburg with a record of 32-15.
The most important at-bat for Arecibo came in the top of the 15th inning, when catcher Dallan Shotton stroked a first pitch fastball to center for a run-scoring single, putting Arecibo up, 4-3.
Shotton told a Arecibo News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
